I am extremely pleased and happy with mom‘s new move to Truewood! She came from another facility that had horrible level of care for their residents. Their “Saving Grace” which is a level of service on sight are amazing caregivers and staff that are very professional and super caring. My mom is type one diabetic and Sandy’s caregivers know exactly what to do with every situation mom needs. I am so ever grateful for their service! Susan in management has also taken care of all our needs and concerns when we moved in. She was understanding and made our move comfortable and easy. Diana who is in charge of activities now has made everything fun to join in on. Mom is having a good time with the entertainment and hands on games. I can’t emphasize how important it is to pay very close attention to the facilities you put your parents in. Don’t let some of these facilities fool you on their grand appearances. It’s really taking the time to make sure you find a loving and caring facility that puts the effort in making sure their staff is on board with everyone’s concerns. Truewood is a wonderful place that my mom can now call it her forever home! She can now comfortably reside in this wonderful place for many years to come!

Absolutely no complaints. Staff is very friendly, helpful and caring. My parents have been here a little longer and I wanted to add to my rave review. The activities director is great, she is always trying to get residents to join the fun. She also comes up with different ways to play ordinary games that makes them more fun to play. Still I cannot say enough about the rest of the staff and residents, always happy and helpful.

I was a little concerned moving my mom out of her home of decades into senior living. The deciding factor was that the Truewood staff seemed nice. After two months of my mom living here, that initial impression has proven to be more than accurate. No one seems like they are just “punching the clock“; they really act like it’s their calling. I feel very comfortable with mom living here and the attention she gets when we can’t be here.

From day one, Mom felt very welcomed & so did I each time I visited. Susan A. is always available to listen to the concerns of both residents & their family members. She does an excellent balancing job of managing the facility & expectations. The staff are very caring. They compassionately engage with the residents in providing a wide variety of activities for a lovely resort style feel. Love the recent updated renovations too. Overall, I highly recommend the Truewood community, in West Covina, to families approaching lifestyle changes for either their parents or for those who want to enjoy the Golden years in ease & security.
